I backed Naman as we entered the boulder maze. The concrete pillars were covered with moss and vines. The ground was sticky with mud, my each step thrusting into the ground. We tried to move from boulder to boulder so we had less flank exposed. At some point I think I started muttering Hanuman Chalisa. As my rib was rested on one of the concrete pillar, I felt a pulse in one of the rocks. I stayed in that position for a few seconds to confirm. I was definitely sure of it now.

I signaled Naman (who was getting ready to travel to the next rock station) to stay still. I put down my torch to peek behind the rock, exposing myself the least amount possible. From the rock where I was standing was connected another rock forming an L.

The second wall had a screen or something and tapping at it was a robot.

The first time when I saw him, he was featureless with textures of hexagons. Now he was much slimmer and smaller as if that hexagonal thing was a suit. His chest looked like it was made of metal. His limbs were simple wire, held together with rings with spherical balls of the same material as the chest functioning as the limbs, his hands and legs were exactly like that of a human expect of that metal which is taking too much of my time to type (Let’s just call it ‘You know who’).

His head was like a human skull with a snout. His face having no features at all. He flinched as if he sensed my presence.

I didn’t even get a chance to comprehend what was happening as the robot rushed at me at an incredible speed, and pushed me against one of the rocks.

Holding my shoulders tight enough to make me hurt. Naman fired his bullet …but in the air. Since my arms were pinned I did the only thing possible, I coiled my legs around the hips of the robot(No it was not what it may sound like). My legs let loose in surprise as a bullet hit the robot’s face making his flinch.

Before the robot could turn its head a shadow of black and white pounced on him “Aaargh!” Badri grunted as he wrestled the robot to the ground thing his head with his shotgun.

Realizing, his strength was the element of surprise, Badri threw his guns at me and Sarah (who had come in time). With his last bit of strength Badri turned the robo’s back towards our sight. “Shoot!” Badri yelled his voice hoarse. Sarah (who picked up one shotgun) and Naman shot the robot in the back as I did a rehearsal of “Uh…Kya?”

Badri immediately kicked of the smoking carcass, got off the ground, breathing heavily as he looked at us.

I and Sarah immediately began showering him with compliments as Naman walked away towards the robo standing on one knee, examining the robo’s body.

“Dude!” I went on “You were totally like ‘The Detective’ a character from the comics.” Badri blushed at this like it was the best compliment he had got. “But you!”

Sarah glared at me “You really need to work on your panic time out.”

As I was grumbling, Naman shouted “Hey guys, you might wanna see this!” As Sarah, Badri and I approached the block with the monitor we realized the block was perfectly smooth edged around monitor, without any cracks. “And that’s not even the strange part.” Naman whispered.

That’s strange Naman never whispered .He even talked about some secret issues so loudly. Then I noticed his legs were shaking. Naman pulled a ledge on the door opening it like a door to reveal something looking like it was from Star Trek. “Space ship”

The word escaped Sarah’s gaping mouth as we set our eyes on a descending tunnel illuminated by blue light.
